MVP development for startups, from scope to launch

devinsta scopes and builds a first version of your SaaS product, then adds the CRM and launch funnel you need to put it in front of customers.

This page covers MVP development for startups: it is for founders who need a first version of a SaaS product in front of paying users. devinsta scopes the MVP with you, builds the web app and mobile app if you need one, adds AI features where they earn their place, and sets up the CRM and funnel for launch.

Amad Zahid, founder and CEO, started devinsta in 2019. The agency has offices in the United Kingdom and Lahore, Pakistan, and works with founders in the US, Canada and UK remotely. The code sits in your repository and the cloud accounts sit under your company from the start.

Custom code is the wrong first move if you have not yet talked to buyers. A landing page, a spreadsheet and a few Zapier automations can test demand before you pay for a build. We tell you on the strategy call if your idea sits at that stage, and we can set up that test instead.

Where startups lose time and revenue

A feature list that keeps growing

Your plan started with one workflow and now includes teams, roles, billing tiers and a mobile app. Each feature sounds necessary for launch. The budget covers half of them, and you have no rule for choosing which half, so the first release date keeps moving.

No technical co-founder

You know the market and cannot judge a tech stack or an estimate. Quotes from three agencies differ by a wide margin for the same brief. You worry about paying for an app that a future engineering hire will want to throw away and rewrite.

A launch with nobody waiting

The product goes live and the sign-up page gets a handful of visits from friends. You have no waitlist, no email sequence and no record of the people who showed interest during development. Sales conversations live in your personal inbox and a notes app.

Pressure to add AI without a use for it

Investors and competitors talk about AI, so a chat box goes on the roadmap. Nobody has defined the task it performs or the data it needs. A feature built that way adds a model bill each month and gives users an answer they cannot trust.

What devinsta builds for startups

MVP scoping and SaaS build

We run a scoping workshop that turns your idea into one core workflow, a list of screens and a written cut list. We then build the web app with accounts, subscription billing through a provider such as Stripe, and an admin view. The stack uses common frameworks a future hire will know.

Service details

Mobile app with React Native

If your users need the product on a phone, we build iOS and Android apps from one React Native codebase that shares an API with the web app. We recommend a responsive web app first where it meets the need, since two app stores add review steps to each release.

Service details

AI features with a defined job

We add AI where it shortens a task a user already performs, such as drafting a reply or extracting fields from a document. We define the input, the expected output and a fallback for wrong answers. You see the running cost per request before the feature ships.

Service details

CRM for early sales

We set up a CRM that records each sign-up, demo request and sales conversation, and connect it to your app, so trial activity appears on the contact record. For most early teams an off-the-shelf CRM is enough. We build custom CRM features if your sales process requires them.

Service details

Launch funnel in ClickFunnels

We build a waitlist or pre-sale funnel in ClickFunnels with a landing page, an order or sign-up form and a follow-up email sequence. It lets you test pricing and messaging before the app is ready. If you prefer pages on your own domain and stack, we build those instead.

Course or membership on Kajabi

Some founders sell expertise before software. We set up Kajabi with your course or membership, checkout, email sequences and a branded site. It gives you revenue and an audience while the product takes shape. Kajabi plans and limits change, so check its pricing page first.

How an engagement runs

The first conversation is a free 30-minute strategy call. We ask who the user is, which single task the product performs for them and how you plan to charge. A scoping phase follows, and it ends with a document listing screens, data model and the features we cut from version one.

We build in two-week sprints with a demo each week on a staging link you can share with early users. You decide after each demo what moves up or down the list. The repository, the cloud account and the app store listings belong to your company, so you can hire an in-house team or change agency without a rewrite.

Common questions

What belongs in a SaaS MVP?

One workflow that a user would pay for, plus sign-up, billing and enough admin tooling to support customers. Leave out team roles, integrations and reporting unless your first buyers refuse to purchase without them. We write the cut list with you during scoping.

Should I test the idea with no-code tools first?

Often, yes. A landing page, a form and a few Zapier automations can show you if people will sign up or pay, without the cost of custom code. Move to a custom build once manual steps limit the number of customers you can serve.

Do I own the code?

Yes. We work in a repository under your account from the first commit, and the hosting, domain and third-party accounts sit under your company. You can bring in your own engineers at any point, and we hand over documentation for setup and deployment.

How long does an MVP take and what does it cost?

Both depend on scope, so we do not publish a fixed figure. After the scoping phase you receive an estimate tied to the list of screens and features, counted in two-week sprints. Cutting a feature from that list lowers the estimate, and we show you by how much.
